Animal Stars is a unique, private dog training facility on the Gold Coast and provides Board-to-Train courses, private dog training lessons, Star Training, obedience training, puppy training and problem-solving.

Your dog trainer, Sue Thompson,  is former Head Trainer for Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast and has been training animals for over 30 years for themes park shows, films and for everyday people.  11 years ago she established Animal Stars Dog Training on the Gold Coast, helping people with problem dogs and obedience training and has since trained hundreds of dogs for happy owners!  Sue will be your dog’s trainer – guaranteed!

There are 4 large, safe and airy kennels with runs and day yards, and a secure, air-conditioned dog training studio on our beautiful acreage property .  We also live on the property so your dog is coming to our home – not to a large commercial kennel.  Owners are most welcome to come and view our training and boarding facilities before bringing their dog.

By choosing Animal Stars, you are getting a professional and highly experienced trainer.  We pride ourselves on a record of good results and with a limit of 2 dogs on our Board & Train course at any one time, you can be sure that your dog is receiving special attention. 

One of Sue’s specialities is “Star Training” .  It is a type of trick training and is particularly useful in film and television situations.  Star Training is just an extension of obedience training, but builds on all of the dog’s natural behaviours and is great fun for both dogs and owners!
